[personal profile] firstroad

First of all, thank you so much for writing for me! I'm excited for anything you come up with, and very easy to please :D Feel free to mix and match any of the likes, or borrow something from one fandom/pairing for another, or dust off that fic at the bottom of your drawer! Most importantly, I hope you have fun, this letter exists only in case you like more details.

I don't particularly have specific dynamics in mind or ways I want to see anything portrayed and love getting surprised! My general take is that the worst case scenario in all this is that I'll learn something new about my preferences, which is really not a bad scenario at all - if you have an idea, no matter how "safe" or how out-there it is, please go for it

(Formatting will be fixed in a few days :'D)

Contents:
Likes | DNWs | Fandoms

Likes:
(alphabetically, not in order of preference):
  • action & combat
  • adapting to new situations (new places, new disabilities, new roles) & the consequences of the new situation
  • adrenaline junkies
  • adventures
  • aged up characters
  • ambiguous relationships or themes or ambiguity in general
  • ambition (as a good thing or as something leading to downfall)
  • amnesia, especially if it's either "used to be close but fell out and the amnesiac person still thinks they're close" or "used to be enemies but grew close and amnesiac character doesn't remember getting close"
  • anger & hatred
  • angst
  • anything that allows my ships to dissolve the boundary of flesh between them (telepathy, soulbonds that never get resolved, mind melding, literally biting chunks off each other, body swap, sharing a body, etc)
  • arrogance (whether the character is self-aware about it or not)
  • traditional astrology
  • AUs:
    • crime-related (heists, thieves, bonnie & clyde, organised crime, rival pirates)
    • bloodsport-related (death games, gladiators, anything else) (willingly, for fun, coerced into it, whatever!)
    • pop idol ones (the personas! the hating your coworkers but having to be gay4pay to entice the fans! losing who you were in pursuit of an image!) (so, relatedly, any AU that allows those themes)
    • canon-typical plot but in space!
    • ones that look like fantasy but are actually scifi
    • cyberpunk / futuristic-setting ones
    • sports and extreme sports AUs (I am partial to swimming and high-altitude mountaineering, but honestly into everything that allows characters to give up their long-term health in pursuit of short-term glory and treating the body as a machine, but also just loving the sport)
    • worldbuilding-y tacked-on-top-of-canon ones (soulmates, regular soulbonds, canon but ft. androids, where the existence of the new element changes society)
  • being disposable & aware of it
  • benevolent monsters (interpret 'monsters' however you want!)
  • betray them (or otherwise hurt them) to save them trope
  • biting (playful or mean or feral-adjacent or to eat or anything else)
  • bittersweetness
  • blackmail
  • body swap
  • bodies!! Just, the experience of having a body. (it changing with the passage of time, wanted or unwanted medical surgeries, wanted or unwanted cosmetic surgeries, only ever using your higher register to appear cute™, soreness or damage from [repeated action, mundane or not])
  • breaking up & making up (actually the making up is optional)
  • canon divergence
  • canon setting but [big key difference]
  • captivity
  • (genuinely) caring for and standing by people who you don't trust
  • case fic
  • catharsis through violence
  • characters being liars and frauds
  • characters being deliberately mean/petty/cruel to each other (even if they love each other!)
  • characters finding happiness in each other/finding joy in small things/"us against the world" narratives (these don't have to be related)
  • characters not seeing/being oblivious to their selfishness/glaring flaws/how what they're seeking is bad for them/changing their motive to what they think they want rather than what they actually want
  • characters unpreoccupied with getting comfort/reassurance/love (they can get it or they can not, they can deserve it or not, they can want it after getting it or not, but I love when they don't seek it out)
  • characters with weird/not-the-best morals but that nobody tries to change (or even adopts)
  • clashing worldviews
  • class issues/imbalance

  • corruption

  • crossdressing (especially if treated as something casual/unsexual) / anything clothes-related

  • culture clash
  • dancing (argentinian tango? ballet? ballroom? street dance? anything!)
  • dark fluff
  • darkfic in general
  • denial
  • details that "nobody" else might care for but the author does (if you know a lot of details about, idk, hornets, I would love to learn as well!)
  • developing relationships
  • disillusionment
  • (otherwise cute) domestic acts as self-harm (being there for someone each time they call, bedsharing, fixing up their apartment, etc.)
  • domesticity but where the characters are Freaking Out about said domesticity, for whatever reason
  • doom being actually inevitable; characters finding happiness anyway. quiet moments happening anyway
  • dynamics based on pragmatism - choosing to be with someone because they're the best available choice (whether that grows to become love or mutual infidelity or whatever else)
  • dysfunctional relationships (or ones that are objectively dysfunctional but look, they WORK for the people involved in it, okay!)
  • earnest attempts at affection being perceived as smothering
  • eerie tenderness & tenderness you can't trust
  • emotional repression
  • enemies/rivals to friends (to lovers) (and the reverse!)
  • enemies to still enemies who now have complicated feelings
  • enemies and lovers
  • enemies/friends with benefits to lovers
  • established relationships
  • estrangement
  • experiments! whether that means the characters trying new things or lab experiments or medical experiments or having any of those done to them (interpret this very happily or very darkly)

  • falling for the "wrong" person
  • falling in love with the target trope
  • fantasy politics
  • faustian bargains
  • fighting equals flirting
  • fix-it's that end up breaking something else (or straight up make-it-worse's)

  • "I'm not doing this for you"
  • identity porn / mistaken identity
  • “if you can’t beat them, join them”
  • ignoring naysayers leading to ignoring valid concerns
  • the illusion of choice
  • impulse decisions leading to getting stuck in multi-year [whatever]
  • in-universe documents
  • internalised homophobia
  • jerks who have a heart of gold deep down who are even bigger jerks deeper down
  • lack of guilt, even in a situation in which it's the expected emotion (unless it's incest, in which case 'ALL the guilt' is loved)
  • lost causes
  • love turning people more brutal instead of mellowing them out (whatever 'brutal' means to you - in words, in actions, in resolve, anything)
  • loving [objectively terrible thing or setting or action] (and the realisation that you might be the only one who feels that way)
  • loyalty without fealty
  • m/m to f/f genderswap (whether of the 'always a different sex' variety or of the 'touched/drank something and now whoopsie is all changed' variety or dimension travel to a place where they're like that or whatever else)
  • man VS. monster narratives where the monster wins - and that's not a bad thing (internally or literally or what)
  • manhandling, whether in the sexy way or very much not that
  • manipulation / deceit
  • masks (both in the literal and persona-related sense) / masquerades / carnival

  • on the run
  • pain (emotional or physical)
  • physical touch
  • political marriages
  • post-canon / futurefic
  • power struggles / explorations of power dynamics
  • pride (as a good thing, as a flaw, as a reason for downfall, as a reason for breakup, as anything)
  • the private VS. the public
  • psychological horror
  • puppets and shadow play/theatre
  • regret of the 'SHOULD have done that' rather than of the 'SHOULDN'T have done that' variety
  • religious themes & motifs, of any real-world or made up religion, including as just window dressing
  • resentment
  • rituals
  • reunions
  • (in-universe) role reversals
  • rollerblading
  • sacrifice (willing or not, religious, of the character, of things they love, of their past... any kind!) (whether it is portrayed as positive or as a bad decision!) (if self-sacrifice, bonus points if it IS objectively the best course of action)
  • sadomasochism where both parties are into both (very much not necessarily in a smutty sense)
  • scenery porn; similarly, stories where it feels like the setting is a character as well
  • science-y things (whether based on actual science or taking scientific terms and running with bizarre theories)
  • selfcest
  • self-identity issues of any and all kinds
  • short term sacrifices for the sake of a long-term cause/delayed gratification (whether that gratification comes or not)
  • sparring
  • sports
  • small glimmers of hope in otherwise extremely bleak situations
  • staying in a situation/setting/occupation/whatever they don't like because of stubbornness, even if they know exactly what else they'd rather be doing
  • very strong person/their favourite (possibly also very strong person)
  • the sun - as a motif, just descriptions of it, folklore around it (real or made up), in mythology, a character quite literally Being the sun in some fantasy way, as a tarot card, anything!
  • superiority complexes
  • survival stories & survival horror
  • talent vs. hard work narratives from the POV of the talent; favourite / golden child vs. derided child narratives from the POV of the favoured one / Being The Favourite in general POV (whether they feel like they earned it or they think they deserve it by virtue of [whatever] or they don't even notice/realise)
  • technology, in general, but also as a vehicle for horror -- it going so extremely right in being advanced that living beings can no longer understand it
  • time loops/any time- or dimension-traveling-related trope
  • that line by Ocean Vuong: "I miss you more than I remember you"
  • that tweet by [profile] arod_twit that went like "characters [..] are too self aware now. every emotional convo is like «I guess I yelled at you earlier because I never processed my dad leaving» no!! no!!! flush someone's blood pressure medication because they called you lazy"
  • "there was no other way for this to go"
  • being a tool/weapon and being fine with it
  • transformations (literal or figurative)
  • trope subversions
  • seemingly unconnected things being connected
  • unconventional happy endings
  • any undercover trope ever
  • unequal levels of investment; X loves Y but Y likes X (or the complete opposite: they're so invested in each other they miss what's going on in the entire rest of the world)
  • unreliable narrators
  • willing solitude / being lonely out of choice (because of the setting or emotionally or what) (out of perceived obligation or happily or temporarily or whatever else)
  • worldbuilding (all sorts - small cultural details, beliefs, fantasy politics - especially for crossovers! - , mundane usages of the magical system, frankly anything, I'm nr.1 worldbuilding fan. it is always okay to disregard all my requests to focus on worldbuilding)
  • "you can change what you do, but you can't change what you want"

The most general idea of my likes is basically anything that includes sensory details and character flaws. The entire gift could be a description of a character perceiving a waterfall and I'd be in love! Also, if I'm not specifying a preference somewhere just assume I genuinely do not have any.

NSFW likes:
- if D/s or any dynamic with a power differential exists, I'd like to ask that submission be a conscious internal choice (whether eager or reluctant), as opposed to someone's "default" or how they always are
- sex being used for character/relationship study purposes
- sex as self harm
- beyond that, I'm open! I do mean it - I'm neutral on most things and it's hard to squick me out.

- violence & gore (elaborated below)

Gore likes (toggleable in case you don't want to see these)

  • amputation
  • bodily fluid A going where bodily fluid B should be
  • bone breaking
  • both parties going at each other, both enjoying it
  • carving words on skin
  • character on the receiving end enjoying it, whether reluctantly or happily (but I do also very much like when they don't!)
  • complete lack of tools - just someone's hands and teeth and whatever else
  • consensual romantic cannibalism (especially if both sides are doing it)
  • cutting tendons
  • cheerful violence
  • dislocations made worse
  • eroticised self-harm
  • gore done completely lovingly and romantically from both sides
  • gore done in passion - out of extreme love or anger or anything
  • gore that's treated as no big deal, something that happens on a weekly basis, especially if there are ways to heal. Like oh yes X took my eye out haha we're going out for lunch later.
  • gratuitous bleeding (as far as I'm concerned the human body has, like, 16lt of blood in it :P)
  • harm done to faces, necks, clavicles, shoulders
  • improper use of gardening tools
  • killing someone who just won't! stay! dead!
  • makeshift medical attention / battlefield surgery / performing stitches or amputations or anything else on oneself or a loved one out of necessity
  • mutilation (of others or of the self)
  • pain, in general
  • partial healing used to prolong the harm, or so it can be done again and again
  • purposeful burns
  • regeneration ft. gore (whether the character has actual regenerative skills, or it's an illusion, or a hallucination, or just mind games, or minutes-long time travel, or whatever other reason!)
  • sex in blood (their own, someone else's, whatever else)
  • something somehow tearing
  • sutures
  • the sexual connotations of surgery
  • torture in general
  • woundfucking
    • wound fingering
  • there are probably so very many things I'm forgetting

DNWs:
- M on F noncon
- character bashing (by which I mean the narrative deciding that everything a character has done ever has been out of plain stupidity and/or malice. Characters, including requested characters, being overall presented in a negative light and having their flaws take centre stage is not only fine, but very welcome!)
- for background ships: superior/subordinate relationships, including mentions
- on-page pregnancy; OC kids for or de-aging of requested characters; any discussion of reproductive rights; req. characters spending the majority of the work as kids
- any terminal illness, including mentions
- detailed descriptions of cooked food or the process of cooking
- AUs that remove all SFF/action elements (AUs that include completely different elements from the canonical ones welcome); non-canonical historical settings; non-canonical first person POV in narration; non-canonical explicit <18 sex; non-canonical trans characters (OCs fine!)

Common dislikes I'm okay with:
- addiction
- bigotry
- body horror, horror in general
- extremely graphic violence / gore / torture
- cheating/adultery (my ships cheating on each other or with each other both)
- OCs as love interests (I do however prefer F/F and M/M to F/M)
- unrequited love/one-sided relationships
- second person POV (1st person also great in any in-universe document)
- fusions (I don't need to know the canon, as long as the fic explains everything relevant or I can wiki it)
- crossovers (between any of the fandoms I've ever requested or with HP, because even if a fandom is very very big the probability that I don't know it is high :') )
- insects
- embarrassment / humiliation / etc
- eating disorders / self-harm / suicide attempts / etc
- bodily fluids that aren't faeces (urine, vomit, stomach acid, etc)
- incest, including cross-generational incest, including AUs where two unrelated characters are now adoptive siblings/step siblings/related somehow/whatever else
- A/B/O (especially if A/A or A/B or B/B etc... anything not A/O! especially if there's worldbuilding!)
- asexuality headcanons (although I'd prefer for it to not be articulated as such in the fic, unless it's a canon taking place in the 21st century anglophone world with clearly Online characters)
- any level of consent for M/M and F/F
- unhappy endings
- background canon or non-canon ships

If anything I ever say on a signup/letter/etc contradicts a DNW: I just forgot about it. Ignore the DNW.

The 100:

- Char: Octavia Blake (The 100)
Her journey is, possibly, my favourite or one of my favourites in the entire show. From a girl isolated from society to enjoying herself to opening herself up to every kind of society to wanting to prove herself to proving herself to forming Wonkru to ruining herself. To searching for the part of herself she's lost :') Ah, I love her so. I'd love to see any divergence you can think of -- life in the Ark being sustainable so she never was the girl under the floor? Exploration of her learning to be Indra's second? Her mistakes. Anything!

- Char: Indra (The 100)
We got introduced to her as someone very harsh and I fell in love on the spot. Then slowwwly getting to see what earns her respect, how she conducts herself with people that have it :D Her standing and mistakes in the bunker. How the people believed in her in the final seasons. Just give me anything and everything -- backstory? Taking some moment and making her make the exact opposite decision from the one she did?

- Abby Griffin & Clarke Griffin & Marcus Kane (The 100)
Very very into the different styles of leadership here. The initial Marcus and Abby clash on the Ark and how it straightened out on the ground only to run into the problem of not knowing how the ground works, ending up being "led by a child". Clarke who understands and perhaps understands too much, too well! Her mum not agreeing with her on so many occasions. I'd love anything, really -- make Marcus survive and let us see how the later seasons would be with him! Make Abby survive, too. What if Clarke stayed as Wanheda for longer?

- Anya/Clarke Griffin (The 100)
The reluctant respect, working together to flee from captivity, it all got to me! I adore where canon ended up going with Clarke/Lexa, don't get me wrong, but I'll forever mourn what Anya could've become in the Trikru-Skaikru relation building -- I'd just love to see a glimpse of that, if she'd somehow survived after getting out of the mountain!

- Bellamy Blake & Octavia Blake (The 100)
I am so taken by their dynamic! Is it unhealthy? Probably! But every time Bellamy said 'My sister, my responsibility' I was very very happy. And when Octavia said it, too! :D They're both on the same AND on opposing sides so frequently (and I love both situations), and they're also so obsessive! I'd love anything - pre-canon, when Octavia was still the girl under the floor? When they're trying to get Bellamy to see his allying himself with Pike is a mistake? AU where the Conclave goes differently? AU where Bellamy doesn't go to space or Octavia goes with him? Later, the whole Shepherd-belief storyline? Being stranded in some planet together through the Stones?

- Char: Clarke Griffin (The 100)
Oh, I love her. She makes all the worst choices and all the best choices and, most importantly, all the HARDEST choices. She said that she'll put her people first and she continuously does that, even when that leads her down awful paths. I'd love to see more of her relationship to grounders and how she integrates (or doesn't!) pre-A.L.I.E. and pre-Praimfaya, but I'd also love anything during the later seasons, or AUs where Praifaya went differently for her!

- Octavia Blake/Indra (The 100)
I'll take anything at all for this, I have no thoughts for what happens or how it does because I want it all. Octavia's stubbornness, Indra's slow recognition of her, standing as her second later... :') Earlier seasons Octavia wanting to be trained & something going horribly wrong, Blodreina era, anything at all during the later seasons! I'm sad they didn't interact as much!

- Octavia Blake & Thelonious Jaha (The 100)
I liked what we saw of post-A.L.I.E. bunker!Jaha! I'd like to see more of him! Back to his protective, more understanding nature. Someone who knows what being a leader costs. I'd love to see if he could do something to stop what went down there from happening!

Or, honestly, anything else. I think this could be a fascinating dynamic.

- Octavia Blake/Charmaine Diyoza (The 100)
The years they were stuck on Beta/Penance. I'd prefer if child-rearing wasn't the main focus? I'd love to see them surviving there, and I'd also love to see their relationship before this. What if Diyoza and her crew captured Octavia? What if there were some actual peaceful negotiations on earth? Diyoza surviving. Anything else!

- Octavia Blake/Clarke Griffin/Lexa (The 100)
I like it because they're all leaders with different ways of going about it, and I love all three characters individually!

  • Agreement between 2 of them and 1 disagrees? Maybe Octavia and Lexa are far more eager to go for revenge.

  • Maybe it wasn't Indra who took Octavia as her second?

  • Lexa survives AU -- would somehow everyone else not know, letting events up to Praimfaya happen much the same? Would she be more effective in combating A.L.I.E.?

  • The betrayal scene and the following events - how would it/they change?

  • Wonkru becoming wonkru, but under different circumstances.

  • Honestly, anything. I love the world, I love them as characters.

Bleach:

Solo characters:

Consider them as platonic little black dresses -- they go with everyone! I'd like to see their interactions with whoever you think would be most interesting. (If you like romantic/sexual relationships, I am partial to F/F and M/M, including unrequested pairings, but I'd prefer no superior/subordinate relationships.)

Char: Aizen Sousuke (Bleach)

He's a truly incredible amount of fun to me, for no other reason than he created, like, all of his own problems, which is in my top five reasons for liking characters in general. Why try to cure your loneliness the old-fashioned way when you can run illegal experiments first and try to deify yourself later instead? :D I'd honestly enjoy everything -- backstory from any time in his past? What's life in Muken like? What's post-canon life like for him? What if his plans did succeed? What's, well, immortality like?

Char: Arisawa Tatsuki (Bleach)

Such a tragic character, to me -- imagine being able to SEE all that is wrong/what your friends are fighting, and yet being fully unable to do anything yourself! Your friendships slowly falling apart! Your friendships somehow surviving? How did they survive? In the same canon vein, what's her home life like?

Alternatively, I'd love a canon divergent AU where she did have her own powers or has always been [insert whichever of the supernatural races is your favourite.]

More generally I enjoy her abrasiveness :D

Char: Kurosaki Isshin (Bleach)

So many thoughts and feelings here! I love mediocre parents. This sounds mean, but I'm serious: I love how you can see that shinigami utilitarianism in his scenes, how love + emotional maturity do not shove away the more soldier-like qualities. (Again, not in a mean way. I do genuinely believe he tries his best.) I love his eagerness to give up his life to save someone he barely knows. I'd love any exploration of the times canon barely hinted at - how did he first make Captain? What were the initial years as a human like? Was there an adjustment period? Was there an adjustment period after he started regaining his powers? When and how did he first notice? How is [literally anything that has happened in canon] from his POV? The ha ha goofball persona is fun from most other POVs, but how fun is it to be the one putting it on?

Char: Kurosaki Masaki (Bleach)

Admittedly we do not see much of her, but what we DO see & get hinted at is very interesting to me. Playfulness! Shamelessness! Easy acceptance! Personal values over family values! Being the initial protector of the family! Being like the sun -- which is very nice, yes, but in being such a huge star lies ambition & holding power. If we are to assume Ichigo wanting to be like his mum was in the most literal way possible, does that mean he gets his drive for power from her? How can those good traits be naturally extended into their flaws? How did her family die? The years between said death and EBTR? AU where she survived?

Char: Nelliel Tu Oderschvank (Bleach)

Love love love her. Love her end-of-volume poem. What interests me the most is the difference in her attitude -- how she behaves towards those she likes (bubbly! happy! sweet!) versus those that... well, barely ping on her radar (dismissive and derisive). Fandom tends to focus a lot on that first part, and I do love it too! But I'd also love to see more of the second, whether as general backstory pre-Arrancar days, or her time as the third, or post-canon.

Char: Unohana Retsu (Bleach)

Top backstory reveal, no question. Sorry to the healer characters but they're, in general, very not for me -- but learning that a healer only learnt the art in order to prolong fights? Learning about the original, criminal-y, court guard squads? Learning about her constantly seeking fights? Oh, that's the good stuff. I'm #1 BruteLuvr69. I want to see more of that side of her -- and I love how calm she still looks! Calm & scary as a fighter and healer both. Give me anything and everything.

Groups & relationships:

Aizen Sousuke/Ichimaru Gin (Bleach)

They're INSANE amounts of fun. Like yessss YESSSS give up your whole life trying to kill one man! Two characters who lie and cheat and, in the end, are the source of their own problems. Love the mind games, love the act of lying, love the act of hiding :D I'm interested in so many things with them! Did Aizen ever have a clue! What was life like before Gin made captain? What was life like AFTER Gin made captain? What if Gin had survived and everything else happened as in canon? What if he did manage to kill Aizen? Would that feel good? How do you move on from what you turned yourself into for centuries?

And, honestly, anything else you can think of! My only request is please don't write out Gin's accent fully phonetically.

Aizen Sousuke/Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach)

Okay, I'm of two minds here. One wants it to just be straightforwardly fun -- Aizen made this creature, so he should get to have fun with it! In any way he wants! Or be sad that a successful experiment is not always what one dreams it to be. Sorry to Ichigo but I think it'd make for a cool Aizen character study, among other things :]

The other mind is stuck on Ichigo's insistence on cutting down Aizen, but being correctly told that he has no hatred in his heart for him. One of the only bigger actions Ichigo took primarily through a feeling of responsibility rather personal desire, and the narrative punished him for it. So, what if he didn't? What if he was the similarly-powerful person who could actually help Aizen feel less lonely in his wannabe-god existence?

Or a secret third thing! Anything post-canon! I'm interested in Muken Aizen, how does he even pass the time? Or literally anything else. I'm easy!

Dokugamine Riruka/Inoue Orihime (Bleach)

Given how little we saw of them interacting my love might be disproportionate, but I truly adore this ship! I love how Riruka is prepared to dislike Orihime -- and then very much doesn't! But in true trope fashion she also can't just admit she likes her. I'd love anything that forces them to spend some more time together!

  • Any get together trope

  • How does Riruka's love for cute things extend to Orihime? Introspective admiration, makeovers/playing dressup, anything else

  • Orihime rarely shows her backbone (which she very much does have! I can't see her as a pacifist), but Fullbring arc has quite a few of those moments where her determination is in text rather than in the background - would love to see how that extends when they meet inside the garganta later. What if Riruka did go with them? What if Orihime stayed back?

  • Orihime is meant to be a Fullbringer too -- training together?

Hinamori Momo & Matsumoto Rangiku (Bleach)

They have about one extended scene together during the Winter War and that's it (ETA: OOPS. Forgot about the scene where Momo is being held for attacking Gin/Kira :D), but consider this: I want more. Momo is SOOO inventive with kido, and, for all that she loves appearing otherwise, Rangiku is pretty damn competent. I'd love to see any point past Momo's disillusionment & true understanding of what Aizen is like -- I do love the fact that she got to see how wrong her admiration was, I love that she got to move past it. And Rangiku is just so fun, knows how to lift the mood, is still emotionally aware under all that. Would enjoy anything!

Hollow Ichigo | Zangetsu & Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach)

In my head I have very coherent meta about everything surrounding them. Trying to explain it is a whole other ordeal :P I enjoy the ~inner demon~ storylines as much as the next person, but you have no idea how utterly delighted I was when it ended up being like 'hey, you know what, the inner demon was his own soul all along'. I love the repression it included. I love how HILARIOUS it is in retrospect -- like, yeah, duh, of course Ichigo's zanpakutou spirit wouldn't be a tough-but-wise middle aged man, of course it'd be this half-feral ball of instinct. I'd enjoy anything from any point in canon! The very beginning, before we knew anything? Anything around the Hueco Mundo arc era? Post-canon? What if he knew from the very beginning?

Inoue Orihime/Kuchiki Rukia (Bleach)

Ohhhhhhhhh, them <333 That scene were Ukitake was looking at them training and was like 'Rukia is so closed off but she made a friend' gets me emotional every time :') Orihime banging on the wall trying to get out when Rukia's spiritual pressure disappears! (and this might be just me having femslash goggles on tight, but I can't help but compare that moment to when Ulquiorra and Ichigo started fighting and Orihime took long enough to even try to protect him that Ulquiorra commented on it - like, the contrast! the difference in her reaction!)

  • More from the time when Orihime went to Soul Society to train with Rukia! Both training and non-training things!

  • Post-canon: does Orihime settle on which of the 5 careers she wants? How is her new life?

  • I feel like Orihime's rejection powers would make her one of the few (if any?) people able to withstand Rukia's bankai

  • More outsider POV on their relationship! 5+1 outsider POVs?

    Inoue Orihime/Nelliel Tu Oderschvank (Bleach)

Fave A/Fave B ship on some level, 'why won't canon give me what I want' ship on another level. Zero specific thoughts, I just find Orihime's jealousy fascinating and misplaced and want to see them interact on their own when Nel isn't a child <3 I think they'd be a very fun ship! Orihime's abilities are all about rejecting reality, but so is her mind -- she loves ignoring things that are staring her right in the face! -- and Nel, for all her bubbliness with specific people, is very grounded and aware and focused on reason.

    Ise Nanao/Kuchiki Rukia

I'm intrigued, mostly! Nanao's talent with kido, the fact that Rukia is a character we most consistently see use it -- she could be the first person to try everything new Nanao invents? :D The common aspect of having dead family members that you don't even remember.

Kurosaki Ichigo/Creator's Choice of Male Espada (Bleach)
Kinda hating myself for choosing this because now I have to explain :D I'm into every choice equally!

Yammy: honestly? I just had a little giggle when Ichigo cut off his arm in order to (to copy someone else's phrasing) inflict nothing but pain and humiliation. He tried and failed twice to defeat him, though :D I love a character that brings out all his worst traits.

Aaroniero: fun with Kaien's face! Oh, to look so alike to someone :3 All the things you can do :3 All the tricks you can pull :3 What if he'd been the initial contact the Arrancars made with the human world?

Szayel: ...I got nothing as far specific ideas go. The aesthetics would be cool? I love sadistic wannabe-scientists characters and I love experimentation so I suppose Szayel can have a doll to play with :D And to copy from the earlier Yammy section about Ichigo doing something just to inflict pain & humiliation -- I guess this could be fun sadist4sadist? Yes, I'm aware I'm reaching.

Zommari: I got nothing part 2. I'm honestly struggling to see a scenario where they'd give each other the time of day, even in AUs, just due to personality clash. But I AM very much still requesting this, if you have any ideas! I am always very very ready to be convinced of anything, and it seriously doesn't take much to get me on board.

Grimmjow: what do I say that others haven't said before? I love the obsession, I love enemyships, I love wanting to be the primary or only person to hurt someone else. I think skewering someone on your blade is the height of romance. Oh, also love the fact that Grimmjow called out Ichigo going to HM to primarily fight rather than save :3

Nnoitra: Ichigo was getting his limbs slowly broken and I was having the time of my life, that's all there is to it :D For a less surface-level reading: I'd enjoy seeing how their ideals regarding fights clash. They're both quite depressed characters, but Nnoitra is actively trying to die and actively backstabs. Does he ever get over his obsession with Nel?

Ulquiorra: I am so obsessed with the Lust Arc it's kind of embarrassing, actually. The small parts of foreshadowing before that full-hollow form in e.g. Ichigo choosing to fight when he finally had Orihime where he could save her. The process of Ichigo becoming more and more monstrous as Ulquiorra becomes more and more human! Ulquiorra being the reason Ichigo didn't, you know, literally kill his friends. Ulquiorra's obsession with only things he can physically see existing, yet his desperation in making everyone else feel as empty as he does.

Barragan: I got nothing part 3. He's king of the hollows and Ichigo has his soul calling him king? Superiority complex drawing them close? AU where Ichigo is a hollow under him? No idea. I'd love to see what someone can come up with!

Starrk: wanting to gain power vs. wanting to relinquish it. Emotional loneliness vs. physical loneliness. Fiery vs. more laid-back attitude. I think there's a ton of fun contrasts here that would be cool to play with, whether in canon or an AU!

Kuchiki Byakuya/Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach)

Part of me ships this because of how much Byakuya seems to trust Ichigo after their confrontation - even after Tsukishima cut him, he didn't waver at all! Ichigo got to hear his 'final' words (even if he didn't end up dying after all)! The other part of me ships this simply because I think it'd be very funny and awkward if Ichigo were to get together with one of his best friends' brother. I can't think of any prompts for this, have fun!

Kurosaki Ichigo/Kyouraku Shunsui (Bleach)

Okay this is basically Fave A/Fave B ship with little substance behind it. However! I think it's fun! I really enjoy Kyouraku's nature and how he expresses both sides of it -- his far more relaxed, playful side versus the side that is focused on the goal and only that. He rebuilds the same Sokyouku that he tried to tear down! And they both carry an extra spirit in their soul & therefore dual wield! And are darker than you'd initially think :D

I don't really have specific ideas, I admit! I'm interested in everything -- would Kyouraku actually keep Ichigo in Soul Society if deemed too powerful? Where does duty end and the person begin? Just general post-canon dealing-with-Ukitake's-death ways of coping that, IDK, involved Ichigo somehow? Inter-world relationships?

Kurosaki Ichigo/Urahara Kisuke (Bleach)

Trying to make my thoughts coherent for this one is hard :D when Urahara first got to have proper scenes I was like ugh, here comes the shounen formula mentor mentee relationship (which is not a dig at the shounen formula in general - if I didn't love it I wouldn't read so much of it!), and I was WRONG and I'm so delighted to be wrong. I love how pretty much everything Urahara does furthers some of his own interests, even when it includes the greater good. I love how shady he is. I love how Ichigo is like well, if he wanted to help me with this thing he would've, when the hollowficafion first happened. I love how Urahara IS helping, but, like, while disclosing the least amount of info always and objectively indirectly causing some harm to Ichigo in the process. And I'm very much not saying this in an oh no one of the BLORBOS was WRONGED way, I do mean that I love it! I love how lowkey canon treats everything, how nobody is expected to manage somebody else's emotional state, and how okay Ichigo is with the whole arrangement since he, too, is getting what he wants. TL;DR I think they're fascinating with complementary flaws and it could go equally very well or very badly and I'd like any version!

Kurosaki Ichigo/Zaraki Kenpachi (Bleach)

Part of me is just into this because I LOVE battles and fights and barbarian brutish characters, and they give me that in two different ways (one being into fighting always, one being into it but repressing that side, one looking the part, the other not). The other part is having the time of its life looking at their initial fight through the re-contextualised lens later canon offers us -- on some level Ichigo looked down on Kenpachi for not knowing and not trying to know his zanpakutou while HE was ummm doing teamwork or whatever, and then he ends up being a massive hypocrite for it. Kenpachi had his spirit with him pretty much all along while Ichigo refused to listen to his own and outright fought. I find that hilarious. Which is to say, I like how what initially appears to be one thing ends up being another, and I'd like them to enjoy themselves together :D

Shihouin Yoruichi/Sui-Feng | Soifon (Bleach)

They're SO delicious! Soifon's obsession turning to hatred turning to understanding. The respect never leaving, even though she tried to kill her personal god. The desire to surpass Yoruichi! They also both seem to look down on their brothers, though for very different reasons and in different ways, but it's another fun common spot :D

  • More of their past while Yoruichi was still in Soul Society

  • Honestly any interaction during later canon - has Yoruichi ever seen Soifon's bankai? On the inverse, does Yoruichi even have a zanpakutou or is she like the Ise?

  • Shunko training?

  • What made Yoruichi initially choose her?

  • Post-canon glimpse

  • Honestly anything else!!!

Crossover Fandom:

- Aomine Daiki (Kuroko no Basuke) & Kougami Shinya (Psycho-Pass)
Frankly they're both just the kind of character I love, and I think that there are enough similarities AND differences for this to go either interesting happy directions or interesting bad directions. A fusion instead of a crossover would also be great -- Aomine in PP world would be very fun, whether as still a basketball player or as someone working in Sibyl-system enforcement! Or, like, time travel rather than good old dimension travel, given the same-place-different-times setting of these two.

- Arisawa Tatsuki (Bleach) & Creator's Choice of Gen. of Miracles (Kuroko no Basuke)

-Arisawa Tatsuki (Bleach) & Kagami Taiga (Kuroko no Basuke)

Grouping these together -- Poor Tatsuki is a sports manga character stuck in a supernatural manga :D I think her personality and Kagami's would either mesh well or end up getting on each other's nerves, and I'm here for both. Would she be trying something different to the martial arts she's practicing? Would she be like Well, Actually, Martial Arts Are Superior To Basketball? IDK how these two canons come together, but every version seems great.

- Edward Elric (FMA 2003) & Edward Elric (FMA: B&M)
I no longer remember who said it because it was years ago, but I remember seeing that in the 2003 anime equivalent exchange proves to be false because you can get less than what you give, and in the manga equivalent exchange proves to be false because you can get more than what you give. Two different textures of the same story that make Ed grow differently, while the core of him remains the same. I would love to see these two separate versions interact!

- Georgia Miller (Ginny & Georgia)/Love Quinn (You TV)
They're both murderous if they need to be! I just think they deserve a partner who is equally happily murderous! Does one of them have to move? Did Love somehow escape during the finale of S3? Did they meet pre-canon for one or both canons then later reunite? Are we ignoring their relationships to Paul and Joe respectively and pretending they've been married for ages? I don't know, I'm into absolutely everything :D

I'll very happily read Joe getting killed, but I'd prefer for Paul to be out of the picture in a more neutral way (open relationship? Amicable breakup? They just never even met? It all works!)

- Marina (Sinbad: LotSS)/Kida Nedakh (Atlantis: tLE)
Honestly, into this because, well, two sea-related hot women! Stubborn! Charming but disagreeable! Of a high enough (or very high) position in society! I'd just love sea adventures, exploration, learning <3 Or perhaps political marriages!

Dare Me:

Beth Cassidy/Addy Hanlon (Dare Me)

I love how deep their relationship goes and I love how they just keep running from their feelings. Love Addy's ambition, love Beth's meanness, how she behaves the way you'd expect the best person in the team to behave, and how Addy is just as much of that "stereotype" and revered by the school population even when she doesn't realise it. Lover how unreliable she is, too! I would want absolutely anything with them!

  • Their average day spent together pre-that kiss? Or pre-Colette

  • Something where their lack of communication somehow lands them in a happy spot anyway

  • Anything about cheer - trying to get better at it?

  • Anything post-canon!

  • Going their different ways for college and then reconnecting?

  • Extremely into horror for this canon, too!

I'm fine with fic about/mentioning eating disorders or anything else typical to people whose lives revolve around a sport.

Darker Than Black:

I love this canon insanely much, despite being SO unsure when first watching. The worldbuilding is incredible and I have no favourite part of canon -- I also welcome any divergence or AU that keeps the contractor aspect but is set somewhere else.

  • Any mission fic!

  • The initial moment of realising that even as a contractor, you can have feelings

  • Any Gate weirdness, honestly

  • Good old character study!!

  • What if the Saturn Ring hadn't been reversed?

  • Frankly literally anything pre-, during, or post-canon would be amazing.

  • Follow your heart for this, really.

Death Note:

Char: Yagami Sayu

  • I simply don’t think we see enough of her, barring the one time she’s used for plot purposes. What’s her daily life like?

  • What if she had found out about the Death Note during that first arc?

  • What if she had a Death Note?

  • We never see her mental state later on, it’s something I’d like to see explored :)

Dreamer Trilogy:

Ronan Lynch/Adam Parrish && Char: Adam Parrish

Putting both of these under one because some prompts can work for either! If you keep them broken up, my only request is to please not pair them off with Raven Cycle characters?

  • I love their relationship. I love how the one person that they truly let themselves be THEMSELVES with is each other. I love the feelings of frustration arising from the semi-estrangement happening in this trilogy.

  • Bryde and all those things from Adam's POV? How did he find out about anything else going on (that Declan/Ronan himself hadn't told him)?

  • Anything more like that opening chapter of Call Down The Hawk where Ronan pulls out lots of horror-y creatures from his dreams and they have to deal with it! Is it happening at Harvard again? Is it at the Barns? Feel free to go as dark as you want here (or in general!)

  • If you like something more lighthearted, anything that they can goad each other into doing! :D Neither of them backs off in general.

  • I found Adam running that fake tarot readings booth thing hilarious, especially considering he could read them for real but instead just does it for people study and profit - more instances of that? (Diverging in order to get Ronan there or Adam where Ronan is or post-canon or even in a general AU all work!)

  • AU where Adam is part of one of the organisations hunting Zeds/Dreamers would be fun!

  • Anything leaning into Ronan's eldritch-being-ness.

  • Investigating more dreamer markets.

  • Anything else, frankly. Have fun!

Psycho-Pass:

I have loved this canon a lot! I love its setting, I love the world, I love the rules, I love the characters seeing the system for what it is yet still ending up working within it. Also love how pretentious it gets at times :D It feels like it was made for me. Love all the characters!

- Char: Kunizuka Yayoi (Psycho-Pass)
I enjoy Yayoi so much! I find her journey of being initially on the authorised side, falling for someone unauthorised, then falling onto the 'latent criminal' side of it all incredibly intriguing -- especially since she manages to climb back out. How does she manage that?

- Char: Kougami Shinya (Psycho-Pass)
What a fascinating character. I love how he's our eyes to how the Public Safety Bureau operates initially, through guiding Akane. I love how he gets it (whatever 'it' is), but he doesn't seem to like it. I love his complete stubbornness and ability to see something through, no matter how big or small, and I also love his taste in literature :D which I also find hilarious, frankly. I'd love to see him during any point in his journey, but I am admittedly terribly curious as to what was happening during the parts of canon he wasn't in.

Kougami Shinya/Makishima Shougo

I love the obsession most of all! I would love more of it, whether the person they're obsessing over is dead or alive. Just give me everything with them, because this kind of dynamic is the kind I always eat up :D Being similar, understanding each other deeply, and still being on opposite sides.

  • Proper meeting while Kougami was still an inspector?

  • Or even earlier, before Makishima had fully settled on his goal. Would this change anything?

  • AU where Makishima survives - are those hallucinations during the movies actually hallucinations?

  • Moments of thinking of the other; replaying scenes; dedicating pretentious literature to the other as they torture them

  • Anything else!

Ginoza Nobuchika/Kougami Shinya
I love the shared history, shared competence, and shared fondness-buried-under-harsher-exterior-ing :D But, to be honest, I'm most interested in seeing how those similarities highlight their differences -- in viewpoint, in the path they took later in life, how it brought them back together. Ginoza's feelings towards his father are also a point of interest! In general, I'd love to see anything: further along, why did Ginoza quit the bureau? We see him switch roles to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but what was the catalyst? Or just a normal case while they were both Inspectors, or just during season one. What if they'd kept in touch while Kougami was out of the country? What if they both went out of the country?

Shingeki no Kyojin | Attack on Titan:

- Annie Leonhart/Historia Reiss/Ymir of the 104th (SnK)
I love Ymir/Historia to death, but I also think Annie could find a nice balance to her temperament with them! I'd love to see so many things. Moments during training? Ymir's Jaw Titan shattering Annie's crystalisation early? The warrior trio discovering it had been Ymir who ate Marcel earlier and... I don't know, carrying her back to Marley? Getting her in on the plan? Ymir surviving and seeing how they deal with the post-canon fallout?

- Char: Eren Yeager (AoT)
I very earnestly very genuinely 100% seriously love him. Sure, his actions were pretty damn bad, but him as a person? I condone his obsession! He saw that the Attack Titan foresight was limited (he didn't know what could happen in the Paths!) and yet was still 100% sure that killing the entire rest of the world was the only way for his friends to live long lives. The dedication to being wrong! I want to see his interactions with literally anyone during any part of the canon. During the training years? During expeditions? Just slice of life? His time in Marley? You can handwave anything post-basement reveal if you want, or go canon-divergent WRT the rumbling.

- Char: Pieck Finger (SNK)
Pretty pretty sweet-looking, loyalty-to-comrades retaining girl with the weirdest, ugliest titan form, her being quadrupedal and a little bit off being more natural to her <3 Her intelligence and ability to see strategy. Is the backstory she told about her ill father true? What was life like for her? Return to Shiganshina but from her POV. Anything post-canon! I'll take just about anything :D

- Char: Ymir of the 104th (SnK)
I love her. like, I LOVE her. Her decision to LIVE given her second chance -- and to be real! Refusing to lie to herself anymore. An orphan chosen to pretend to be linked to the Original titan... she ended up actually being linked! Just not in that way :p

  • Anything from her time before getting caught!

  • Anything from the time between eating Marcel and overhearing about Historia -- how did she live?

  • Training days! Her first meeting with Historia, or anyone

- Eren Yeager/Zeke Yeager (SNK)
Okay, let's pretend they can touch for this one.

I was having the time of my life with their dynamic -- Zeke was extremely dedicated to his 'I can fix him!!!' till the end ('When I save the world, it'll be with you' )! He entered this thinking he had a little brother who had the same experience as he did, the same internal wounds, the same guilt -- and then Eren was just Like That on his own, despite receiving all the parental love Zeke never did. I have no specific prompts, they just make me giggle and twirl my hair like a schoolgirl with her first crush.

- Krista Lenz | Historia Reiss/Ymir of the 104th
I love them an unhealthy amount! Ymir recognising that Historia was the same as she was -- lying to themselves as well as other people to the point they want to believe their lies! But Ymir has learnt that she cannot do that anymore, and slowly Historia does as well. I just... love their bond!

  • Ymir does not choose to go back and help Reiner & Bertolt?

  • Ymir DOES go back - but she also returns? I don't want her eaten by Porco :(

  • Training days

  • They manage to grab Historia and go back to Marley

  • Just conversations post-both of them revealing themselves to the world, supposing there was time between everyone's rescue in that tower and Reiner and Bertolt kidnapping her and Eren

- Levi Ackerman/Eren Yeager (SnK)
I'm yet another one of the people who got into this ship via the courtroom beating o/ I love how Eren, in all his overly-reactive ways, understood why it was happening + didn't get mad at all! And he's surprisingly dedicated to cleaning to Levi's standards! And after the Rumbling starts, Levi's "if you stop now, I'll just let you off with an ass-kicking" :') Levi letting him make his own decisions from the get-go. I am so very interested in them, in every possible way.

  • Scouting expeditions post-reclaiming Wall Maria

  • Talking while Eren is being held for usurpation

  • Talking about the hard decision for who to give the serum to - I'm also happy with Erwin being given it!

  • Post-canon where Eren survives.

  • IDK, anything! Follow your heart's desires!

- Mikasa Ackerman/Annie Leonhart (SnK)
I enjoy the animosity! Their different choices of focus! How Mikasa cuts off feelings of sentimentality more easily, despite Annie being the one to appear colder. Being the best at almost anything vs. being the best at hand-to-hand combat!

  • Finally, a pair that lends itself to post-canon! I'd love to see their different ways of healing. How does Annie cope with having both proper reason and proper choices to live, now? How does Mikasa cope with the loss of what she had focused on for so long?

  • Early canon!

  • What if Annie hadn't chosen to join the Military Police?

  • What if Mikasa had? (Ummm, let's pretend that Eren chose to focus on freedom on the inside or whatever for this to work.)

- Pieck Finger/Yelena (SNK)
They have such "No, we didn’t date. Technically he wasn’t an ex-boyfriend. But he was an ex-something, an ex-maybe. An ex-almost." energy. Or actual exes energy?

  • When did Yelena fully decide on her views? Was Pieck there?

  • Why had Pieck noticed her the first time?

  • Actually, anything leaning on the differences in views -- the shared past and shared animosity towards Marley vs. their different futures!

  • Scenes from Marley, during any time. During missions, them just being out and about, anything

  • Anything else!

- Sasha Blouse & Gabi Braun (SnK)
Extremely fascinated by how Sasha's family treated Gabi and how it aided her arc, and honestly I only have one thought here: what if Sasha had been there as well?
